Come to the Data Harvest – where investigative and datajournalism meet

In Uncategorized on April 28, 2012 at 9:18 pm

So the Data Harvest 2012 is on the way! Come to Brussels from May 6th-8th this year and join the journo-crowd to develop good stories.

This is the first larger conference in Europe organised by journalists for journalists to allow sharing and developing of methods and networking. The particular focus of the Data Harvest is on datajournalism, farm subsidy data and FOI.

In the past years various small communities of journalists in Europe have gathered to do stories together and learn from each other:

Farmsubsidy journalists gathered year after year in various groupings to find stories in fresh data about EU’s spendings, a very interesting workseminar was held in 2010.

Some of Europe’s best wobbers – journalists who use freedom of information legislation to obtain hard facts for their stories – have gathered now for several years and will do so again.

Furthermore last year we had a great meeting, where data journalists and programmers were included into this crowd. Great fun.

This time we have room for about 100 participants.

Looking forward to seeing you in Brussels.
